Sit comfortably, in a cross-legged position if you can.
Rest your hands in an open mudra, palms facing upward, ready to receive.
Take three deep belly breaths. With each exhale, release any tension you are holding in your body. Allow yourself to soften. Let your awareness settle into the present moment.
Bring your attention to your mind’s eye.
As your breath deepens and your body relaxes, begin to see a pyramid of light surrounding you. The tip begins just above your head, and its sides slope outward until the base surrounds your knees and the lower part of your body.
Take another slow breath.
Now imagine drawing the golden-white light of the cosmos through your crown chakra. The tip of your pyramid begins to glow like a radiant beacon.
You are Universal Love.
You are Creator.
Spirit.
Source.
God.
Whatever name you give to the infinite presence that flows through all things.
You are now a beacon for that light.
Breathe as the golden-white light pours through your crown chakra and gently flows into your mind’s eye.
Here, all things are possible.
Here, you choose where your attention rests.
Here, you are aligned with your highest knowing, connected to all that is.
Rest here for a few breaths.
Now allow that same golden-white light to continue flowing downward into your throat chakra.
Feel the vibration of truth.
Feel the resonance of your authentic voice.
This is the place where you speak your truth, honor your truth, and become your truth.
Our words help create our reality.
Your voice aligns with your crown and your mind’s eye.
You receive inspiration.
You envision possibility.
And you give it life through your voice.
Breathe.
Now draw the light into your heart chakra.
The seat of the soul.
The place where love, truth, and connection radiate outward into the world.
Feel the synthesis of the higher chakras merging within your heart.
If you notice any tightness or contraction, simply breathe into it.
Allow the petals of your heart to soften, opening like a lotus flower.
Receive the infinite love flowing through your crown…
through your mind’s eye…
through your throat…
and into your heart.
Feel it filling your heart until it overflows, radiating outward in every direction.
Your entire field becomes filled with love.
Take a slow breath.
Now allow this light to continue downward into your solar plexus.
The seat of your personal power.
This is not the old story of force or domination.
This is power rooted in love.
Power rooted in truth.
Power rooted in self-respect.
You know your truth.
It may not be another person’s truth, and that is perfectly okay.
There is no judgment here.
Only experience.
Only authentic expression.
Feel the confidence to move through the world aligned with your highest self.
Know that you are guided.
Know that your soul knows the way.
Know that you possess the strength to live as your authentic, sovereign self.
Breathe deeply.
Now allow the light to flow into your sacral chakra.
The center of creativity.
Often called the sexual chakra, but far more expansive than that.
This is the place from which we create our lives.
The place where visions become reality.
The place where possibility becomes form.
The same life force that creates children also creates art, dreams, purpose, healing, beauty, and new worlds.
Everything first begins here.
Allow your creative energy to awaken.
Feel it gently expanding.
Now let your awareness travel into your root chakra.
Your connection to the Earth.
Your foundation.
Your place of safety and belonging.
Like the lotus flower whose roots reach deep into the nourishing mud, your own roots extend downward into Mother Earth.
The mud is not something to escape.
It is nourishment.
It is stability.
It is life.
Feel your roots growing deeper and deeper into the Earth.
Notice whether they are relaxed and expansive…
or tight and contracted.
If there is tension, simply breathe.
Allow your roots to spread.
Receive the nourishment, the wisdom, and the unconditional embrace of Mother Earth.
Feel her holding you.
Supporting you.
Loving you.
As your roots deepen, imagine another pyramid forming beneath you.
This pyramid points downward.
Its base surrounds your knees, and its tip reaches into the luminous center of the Earth.
At its point is another brilliant light.
As energy flows through your body, it continues into the Earth, feeding her just as she nourishes you.
You become a sacred conduit.
Father Sky offers love to Mother Earth through every living being.
And Mother Earth returns that love upward once again.
You are part of that eternal exchange.
Energy flows down through your crown…
through your chakras…
into the Earth…
Then rises again through your body…
Returning to the heavens.
This current begins to move like a figure eight.
An endless flow of giving and receiving.
Heaven and Earth.
Spirit and matter.
Masculine and feminine.
As this movement continues, the figure eight expands beyond two dimensions into a living, spinning field of light.
A three-dimensional tetrahedral spiral surrounds you.
Energy flows through you…
Around you…
Above you…
Below you.
You are completely immersed within this living vortex.
As it grows stronger, the two pyramids begin to merge.
The upper pyramid descends.
The lower pyramid rises.
Together they interlock.
This is your Merkaba.
The sacred star tetrahedron.
Each pyramid spins in the opposite direction, generating a luminous field of consciousness around you.
Feel yourself becoming radiant.
Like a star.
Like a supernova.
Recognize that every star…
Every planet…
Every galaxy…
Every atom…
Shares this same universal geometry.
The same life force moves through all things.
You are not separate.
You are connected.
You always have been.
You always will be.
Feel yourself expanding into that knowing.
You are infinite.
You are creative.
You are primordial love expressing itself through human form.
Rest here.
Breathe.
Receive.
And simply remember who you are.
Close your eyes.
Take a slow, deep breath…
And another…
Allow your body to soften.
Feel the weight of the chair beneath you…
or the Earth supporting you.
There is nowhere else you need to be.
Now imagine yourself standing in the Himalayan Mountains.
The air is crisp and cool.
Snow-capped peaks rise around you.
Prayer flags dance gently in the wind.
The only sound is your own breath.
You have come here seeking something.
Perhaps wisdom.
Perhaps peace.
Perhaps simply a deeper remembrance of who you truly are.
As you begin walking the mountain path, notice how quiet everything is.
There is no one else here.
Only you.
Notice how that feels.
There is no one to impress.
No one expecting anything from you.
No one asking you to become someone different.
There is only you.
With every step, allow another layer of identity to fall away.
The roles you play…
The expectations…
The masks…
The stories…
Continue walking until all that remains is your authentic self.
Perfectly imperfect.
Wonderfully unique.
Completely enough.
Notice how it feels to simply be.
To enjoy your own company.
To feel completely at home within yourself.
As you round the next bend in the trail, you notice an old man climbing ahead of you.
He is bent forward beneath the weight of an enormous burlap sack slung across one shoulder.
Each step looks difficult.
Each breath labored.
Yet something about him radiates profound peace.
You instinctively know he is a great sage.
You gently approach him.
“Wise one,” you ask, “I have come seeking enlightenment. I long to remember who I truly am. What is it that you have to teach me?”
The old man stops.
Without speaking…
He slowly slips the heavy sack from his shoulder…
And places it gently upon the ground.
The relief in his body is immediate.
His spine lengthens.
His breath deepens.
His face softens.
Watch him carefully.
What do you notice?
…
You begin to understand.
Perhaps your burden was never yours to carry.
Perhaps no one is meant to carry the weight of the world.
Feel your own shoulders.
Have they softened?
Take a breath.
Imagine setting down every burden you have been carrying.
Responsibilities…
Expectations…
Pressure…
Fear…
Self-judgment…
For this moment…
Simply place them on the Earth.
Feel how much lighter you become.
After a few moments you ask,
“But Wise One… when I return home, there will still be responsibilities. There will still be work to do. Surely I must carry something.”
The sage smiles.
He kneels beside the sack and unties the cord.
The bag opens.
Hundreds of ancient scrolls tumble onto the mountain path.
One by one they unfurl.
You read fragments written upon them.
“I am not enough.”
“I have to do everything myself.”
“The world is heavy.”
“I must struggle.”
“I have to earn love.”
“I am responsible for everyone else’s happiness.”
You suddenly recognize them.
These are not responsibilities.
They are stories.
Stories repeated so many times they began to feel like truth.
The sage looks at you with kind eyes.
Without speaking, he asks…
Which of these stories are yours?
And which were simply handed to you?
Take a slow breath.
Notice which scroll calls to you.
Without judgment…
Pick it up.
Read it one last time.
Thank it for everything it has tried to teach you.
Then place it gently upon the Earth.
Watch as the wind carries it away.
Gone.
No longer yours to carry.
The sage rises and begins walking once more.
But this time…
He carries nothing.
You notice something extraordinary.
Around him floats an endless field of shimmering possibilities.
Ideas…
Solutions…
Conversations…
Acts of service…
Opportunities…
Everything he could ever need is already present.
Nothing is carried.
Everything is available.
When the moment calls…
He simply reaches into the field…
Selects exactly what is needed…
Uses it with love…
Then releases it back into the infinite.
Nothing becomes a burden.
Because nothing is owned.
Nothing is clung to.
Only this moment exists.
Only this breath.
Only this choice.
Feel that same field surrounding you now.
Infinite possibility.
Infinite wisdom.
Infinite support.
You do not have to carry your future.
You do not have to carry your past.
You need only meet this moment.
The next step will reveal itself when it is time.
Take one final deep breath.
Feel your shoulders.
Feel your heart.
Feel the spaciousness that remains when stories are released.
Know that your responsibilities can become offerings.
Your work can become devotion.
Your life can become presence.
And your burden…
Can become freedom.
When you are ready…
Gently bring your awareness back to your body.
Back to your breath.
And open your eyes…
Remembering that the path was never about climbing the mountain.
It was about discovering there was never anything you needed to carry in the first place.
